My name is James McCall and I am a general dentist in Jacksonville, Florida. I have been in private practice for almost 9 years. I have always been fortunate to find success in my practice ahead of schedule but in 1999 I found myself extremely frustrated with my life and my practice. It seemed as if the growth in my practice had ceased. My practice, my staff, and my life were stagnant.

I knew I needed help because I had exhausted all of my ideas to give the practice a jump-start. I received a postcard in the mail about a three-hour consultation and I sent it in. I received a confirmation call from Sterling to determine if I was serious about making my practice better. I then received a phone call from their Senior Consultant and four hours later I was a Sterling client.

Through participating in Sterling’s tailored program, I learned how to truly manage a business by statistics and I learned how to be the CEO of my practice, how to handle staff, how to hire properly and how to motivate which was really lacking in my practice. I came out of the courses having a better understanding of why I viewed certain people in my life the way I did. I let go of a lot of resentment I had built up.

When returning back to Jacksonville, I jumped in with the Hubbard business philosophy. At the time I was working five days a week and not very efficiently. From 1999 to 2000, we jumped from $400,000 to $650,000. We did that with two front desk personnel, two dental assistants, one hygienist, and only three operatories. Currently, we are expected to come close to $750,000 except now we only work four days a week. I am having my fourth chair installed next week. I cannot wait for next year.

I would recommend Sterling to anyone who wants to get the most out of their practice and their life. I now have more time to spend with the people that mean the most to me…my wife and two kids. My strong advice is that if you consider Sterling Management Systems, do not dabble in it. Take advantage of what they have to offer. You won’t be disappointed.
